Sewing Machine World have moved from the centre of Kings Lynn to new premises in Horsley’s Field Industrial Estate. They now have a workshop area where they are able to offer sewing classes. Parking is easy and free just near the building.

Saturday 28th April – 10.00am – 4.00pm – Learn to Love your Overlocker – This day work shop is for everyone who has an Overlocker but is unsure how to use it, finds the threading a nightmare or cannot get the tension right. During the work shop, threading will be made easy and tension explained so that it can be set correctly. You will then see how to adjust everything to ensure your Overlocker makes a perfect stitch for everything you want to make.
Don’t leave it in the cupboard, come and find out how to use it and see what it can do for all your sewing projects.

Saturday 5th May – 10.00am – 4.00pm – Free Machine Embroidery and More
This one day workshop will let your explore the decorative effects that can be achieved with your Sewing Machine. You will learn about the types of needles and thread to use to achieve the best results. You will also learn how to do Free Embroidery which can be used on any project and called stippling when used in quilts. It is also a chance to use all the built in stitches successfully that can enhance everything that you make.
Saturday 2nd June – 10.00am – 4.00pm – New ways with Applique.
If you do basic applique with fusible web and a satin stitch come and learn some new techniques that can be used on your quilts ,bags, cushions and other items. You will learn the technique so you have notes and samples then you can chose on and make a block, cushion or bag. If you have never done any applique before you can still join this course.
