Learn to Quilt by Machine – Saturday 3rd March 10.am – 4.00pm. This workshop is for everyone who wants to learn how to quilt using their sewing machine for any project that includes quilting. You will learn how to prepare the fabric and wadding ready for machine quilting. What thread to use and the correct choice of type and size of needle.
The course will introduce you to various techniques for machine quilting including both straight, decorative and free motion stitching. There will be lots of opportunity to experiment with different ways of quilting so that you can carefully plan the quilting for your next project. At the end of the day you will have detailed notes and samples for reference and lots of ideas to use on your own projects. If your Sewing Machine can do a straight and zig zag stitch you can quilt by machine.
